JD-GUI is a standalone graphical utility that displays Java source codes of “.class†files. You can browse the reconstructed source code with the JD-GUI for instant access to methods and fields.

In addition to bug fixes, it includes a new feature to inform you of the availability of new versions.
JD-GUI executes the HTTP GET request “http://java.decompiler.free.fr/jd-gui/update/” without neither any parameters nor cookies to download update data. No personal information is transmitted. You can check network activities of JD-GUI with “tcpdump†for example … If you decide to block network acces of JD-GUI, all its features remains operational, except the auto-update checking feature, of course.
