Nokia is currently on a mission to cut the time their GPS-enabled cellphones require to get its exact location in order to open up a window of opportunity for location-based online services. GPS chips use satellites orbiting the earth to determine the exact position of a person. They are found in car navigation systems, which have surged in popularity in recent years, and the technology is now making the jump to mobile phones.
