Sprint Mogul Review - CNET, “With the boost of 3G speeds, Sprint added support for its Sprint Music Store where you can wirelessly download music to your phone or PC. To transfer songs from your PC to the smart phone, you can use Sprint’s Sync Manager software and the included USB cable. We tried downloading several songs but ran into a number of problems. We could get a preview of the song and view the album art, but once we hit the download button, it would start for a few seconds, then return with a message saying the music store was not available. It took us five attempts before we were able to download one song. Sprint has since told us that its engineers are conducting more tests, so the Sprint Music service will not be available at launch. Instead, it will offer it as an over-the-air download in mid-July. Also, the Mogul doesn’t work with Sprint TV at the time of this writing, but you can use Windows Media Player 10 Mobile to view TV shows recorded on your Windows Media Center PC or to tune into your favorite AAC, MP3, WAV, WMA, MPEG-4, and WMV music and video files.”

Recently got the new mogul and put it to the test with windows vista. Seems to work great with any windows….unlike my wifes treo 755 that seems to have so many more limitations when working with windows…
So far so good! Just put the usb in and its like http://ftp. You can drag/drop, cut, copy, and past documents and music. Any music files can be added as ringtones…..
I’m even able to connect to wi-fi hotspots or home wireless internet at not extra charge from sprint, but if you want the data package thats another thing which lets you keep the internet connect for a pretty penny….cheaper than other networks by far (sprint).
The battery is alright, but it does seem to go pretty fast when you first playing around with all the programs.
Texting is lots of fun….big comfortable buttons that light up in the dark……I think you can even load for favorite texting programs….like aim….but haven’t tried…

i cant get my software for the mogul to work with vista. what do i do?
I just purchased the mogul, and cant figure out how to assign my music as ringtones.
Go to file explorer.
Find your music files.
Press hold your styli on the file you wish to use as a ringtone.

mogul all the way! and with additional software from spb shell (mobile shell, phone suite, spb backup, winferface or ifonz, you can enhance the ownership of your phone. I also purchased an Airscanner AV Anti-Virus program which works amazing with the Mogul. Be sure to also purchase a storage card. It will help when installing about 90% of the software. The other 10% may only work when downing to your device (like an anti-virus software for the system) You can also visit(www.handango.com)for great software.

How do I get my Mogul to watch video clips and news clips?
First don’t go with the I phone its trash nothin but software that you can download your self.Go with the mogul the tilt is nice but the mogul speeds are a little faster with rev a download that takes like 2 minutes to do.For song downloads as ringtones go to sounds and notifications scroll down and there they should be if not your not downloading them right read owners manual.O yeah video you can do it you have to have windows mobile 5 windows has not updated for 6 or 6.1 don’t know way email them make a complant probly won’t help but with a shot.

The best way to send and receive pictures with the Mogul would be to either attach via personal email (set up accounts through MESSAGES, then create accounts. If you use Sprint as your carrier, create an account using your sprintpcs.com account (call them and they can provide you with one if you don’t already have one. If you have an outlook account, create a new account (Messages - new account - follow the guide lines) using your Outlook e-mail address and then you can attach pictures/videos that way
love the mogul phone. I just updated my software via the HTC website and now have windows 6.1 and the Sprint TV. MTV on the go…. lots of different softwares to download straight to my device while on the phone. best upgrade I honestly say I’ve ever done in my life. im considering buying my mother one for christmas just to upgrade and play on the device as I have with mine…
oh yeah u can get the iphone software on your mogul device now how kool is that!! no need to buy an iphone! mogul has same capabilites and then some….haha at the iphone
