XSubst 2.3.10

XSubst is a freeware tool for managing subst drives and net drives with a lot of comfort. It can create temporary or permanent subst drives, can create drive icons (shortcuts) to the desktop manually or automatically. With the optional shell context extension (sce) it can integrate the basic functions connect and disconnect into file explorer or professional file managers like total commander.

Another comfortable function is to change the path of a subst or net drive without manual disconnect the drive, XSubst will do this in one step. XSubst shows all available drives (a-z) in a drive list with their corresponding paths and drive types. There are more comfort functions but i think for a first description this is enough.

New in 2.3.1: 1) Several little bugfixes. 2) Now it´s possible to enter own labels for subst- and network-drives. But due a lack of a windows api for subst labels it´s not possible to set labels in explorer. Only visible in XSubst! 3) Move function is now also available via shortcut and a new button. 4) MSCOMCTLOCXupdater included now in installer. 5) A lot more keyboard shortcuts for all functions. These are global and not language dependent. 6) A new tweak EXPERTMODE for deactivating all warnings. 7) …and some other changes i don´t want to translate this time.

New in 2.2.47: New: Editbox in folder requester (new/change).

New in 2.2.46: Bugfix: After changes in 2.2.45 the folder sharings in vpc shows wrong.

New in 2.2.35: Little improvements: After a crash/restart of the explorer the systrayicon will restart also. With alternative display of path type (2 or 3) now he shows the NT device name/path of the real drive. More debuginfos.

New in 2.2.32: 2 bugfixes for XSubst´s “superimposed drives”.

New in 2.2.30: This is primarily a maintenance update for the network functions, but there are new things too: “Ready LED”, new entry in the statusbar (user or global ini), splashscreen on start for slow network environments, new languagepacks and other.
